The Blossom Windows is a collection inspired by iron windows pattern decorations from Taiwan. In the 1920s, a black iron window of Western modern architecture was introduced into Taiwan. With the economy taking off in the 1970's, the emphasis on lifestyle aesthetics has become increasingly apparent. The iron window patterns are made out of elaborated techniques which also show the unique artistic visions of artisans.
For this design I used laser cutting and an experimental technique of filling the laser cut holes with nail polish.
